Dull, yellow, or discolored teeth can make you reluctant to smile. But did you know that you could be making the wrong first impression, too? People with big, bright smiles are perceived as younger, smarter, more successful, friendlier, and more attractive to the opposite sex. In addition, a whiter, brighter smile can boost your confidence and let your inner beauty shine through. At Capital Smiles, you can have whiter teeth in about an hour with professional, in-office teeth-whitening, sometimes called teeth bleaching.

After listening to your smile goals and expectations for teeth whitening results, Dr. Jacobson will conduct a thorough dental exam. We’ll craft a personalized teeth whitening treatment plan based on your unique needs, situation, schedule, and budget. We offer both in-office teeth whitening and at-home teeth whitening and use the Venus, Boost, and Zoom! teeth whitening system to safely and effectively lighten and brighten your smile.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

During your visit to our dental office, we’ll apply the special teeth whitening gel to your teeth and activate it with a special low-heat light. The gel and the light work together to remove stains and discolorations, taking years off your smile’s appearance. Most patients will only require one in-office teeth whitening visit to achieve the desired effect. However, patients with deep stains or severe discoloration may need to visit our practice for several treatments for the best possible results. In-office teeth whitening can lighten your teeth as much as 6-10 shades, and each treatment takes about an hour.

At-Home Teeth Whitening

If you prefer to whiten your teeth at home, we can provide you with custom-made trays and professional-grade teeth whitening gel. Simply pour the solution into the trays and wear at night as directed. You’ll begin to see results after the first application. At-home teeth whitening can take up to two weeks to get the whitest results. If you have sensitive teeth, at-home teeth whitening may be the best choice for you.

Dr. Jacobson will help you decide on the specific therapies to attain your ideal smile. Depending upon your unique situation,he may recommend additional cosmetic dentistry therapies, such as porcelain veneers, Invisalign clear braces, Six Month Smiles, or other therapies specially designed to restore beauty and function. To demonstrate the benefits of proposed treatments, we can alter a wax model of your smile to help you envision your new look.
